there was this person who approached me today at city hall macs, asking if i could help buy some things from him.. he shared with me that he is an ex con who cant find a job and has to support his family, and also showed me his wedding photo with his wife and his baby daughter. i didnt bring much on me so i just bought a card from him. it made me feel quite emotional after that. like a man who has so many tatoos, he must have had some past.. but now he is diligently going around asking for donations. if it were me i would be so embarrassed. really appreciate him for trying so hard for his family, that they must be very lucky to have such a dad like him. but i could smell smoke from his mouth. lol. felt like saying he might as well use that money he spends on cigarettes to spend on his family.. but singaporeans can be very discouraging so i wonder how long he can last.. all the best to him though. :/
